Ferrara expands school psychological support service

The Municipality of Ferrara is expanding its ‘Punto di Vista’ program, a psychological support and listening service for secondary school students. Starting September 1, the initiative will increase its service capacity by over 800 hours to strengthen the presence of operators within schools.

The program provides a psychologist to every institute, offering activities such as group sessions for classes, individual consultations for students, and support for teachers and parents when necessary. The service is implemented by the Cooperativa Piccolo Principe, which specializes in working with adolescents.

According to Chiara Scaramagli, the Councilor for Education and Youth Policies, the expansion aims to reinforce the availability of support spaces and improve prevention efforts to identify difficulties among young people more promptly. In 2026, more than 3,000 students across the province utilized the service.
