Ferrara man sentenced to one year for theft at Factory Grisù

A 55-year-old man from Ferrara has been sentenced to one year in prison for an aggravated theft committed on July 12, 2024. The incident took place at the offices of the Consorzio Factory Grisù, located in a former fire station on via Ortigara.

The perpetrator entered the building around 3:00 AM by forcing an entrance door and subsequently breached several office doors on the first floor. The stolen items, valued at approximately 2,300 euros, included technological equipment belonging to the Ferrara Città del Cinema association and the Ferrara Municipality Youth Office, such as cameras, microphones, cables, and chargers.

The theft was detected by an alarm system that alerted the president of Factory Grisù, Alessandro Canella. Following the notification, Carabinieri arrived at the scene and apprehended the man after a brief pursuit near the building.
