Ferrara receives 350,000 euros for urban security and social prevention
The Emilia-Romagna Region and the Municipality of Ferrara have approved a program agreement for the second edition of the ‘Ferrara vivibile e sicura’ project. The initiative involves a total investment of 350,000 euros, with 170,000 euros funded by the Region and 180,000 euros provided by the Municipality.
The project focuses on the GAD area and surrounding zones, including Piazzetta San Nicolò and nightlife districts. Key interventions include enhancing video surveillance, improving public lighting, and installing new urban furniture to combat urban disorder.
In addition to structural improvements, the program emphasizes social prevention through street tutoring, educational outreach, and cultural mediation aimed at youth and families to promote social cohesion and community respect.
