Giro dell'Emilia cycling races to start in Ferrara

The 2026 edition of the Giro dell'Emilia, featuring both men's and women's elite cycling races, will depart from the Castello Estense in Ferrara on October 3. The route will take competitors through the Emilian plain, passing near the Granarolo plant, before ascending toward the hills of Bologna. The race will conclude with a series of climbs at the iconic Colle di San Luca.

Various regional cultural and sporting events are also taking place across Italy. In Verona, the Tocatì International Street Games Festival concluded with thousands of participants engaging in Irish-inspired sports and traditional games. In Venice, the Salone dell'Alto Artigianato Italiano will showcase 163 exhibitors of high-end craftsmanship at the Arsenale from October 1 to 4.

Other notable activities include the debut of the 'Appassionata' concert series at the Feronia theater in San Severino, a research-focused meeting at the University of Teramo, and the 'ReBounce' urban sports festival in Reggio. Additionally, an authentic copy of Caravaggio’s 'Ecce Homo' will be exhibited in Cerignola through October 4.
