Ferrari 365 GTC/4 sells for approximately 22.43 million yen at Bonhams auction

A 1973 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 Coupe was recently sold at a Bonhams auction in Belgium for 126,500 euros (approximately 22.43 million yen). The vehicle features a 4.4L V12 engine and was designed as a grand tourer, prioritizing comfort and ease of use with standard power steering and servo-assisted brakes.

The specific unit sold has a notable provenance, having been originally ordered new by Greek shipping magnate Stavros Niarchos. The car is finished in its original Azure Hyperion color. While the engine is in running condition, the vehicle requires significant mechanical refurbishment before it can be driven on public roads.

The 365 GTC/4 was produced in limited numbers, with only about 500 units manufactured between its introduction at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show and the end of production in October 1972. It shares a chassis with the high-performance 365 GTB/4 Daytona but utilizes a wet-sump engine configuration and transverse carburetors to allow for a lower hood line.
