Ferrari 849 Testarossa gets 1980s makeover in digital artist's render

Ferrari revived the Testarossa name for its upcoming 849 Testarossa, the successor to the SF90. Enthusiasts felt the production design lacked the iconic 1980s styling of the original Testarossa. Digital artist Khyzyl Saleem (known as The Kyza) created a detailed render that reimagines the 849 with period‑appropriate cues while keeping the cabin and rear‑window engine cover unchanged. The concept adds pop‑up headlights, slimmer front inlets, a prominent carbon‑fiber splitter, widened side strakes, a single driver‑side mirror, vintage‑style HRE 505 wheels and thin LED taillights set behind full‑width black slats, echoing the classic Testarossa silhouette. Saleem noted that Ferrari’s own designers had once explored similar ideas before homologation rules halted them. The powertrain remains the production car’s twin‑turbo 4.0‑liter V8 paired with three electric motors, delivering 1,035 hp to all four wheels.
