Ferrari collector David Lee manages $200 million collection

American collector David Lee has seen the value of his Ferrari collection rise to approximately $200 million, nearly doubling its estimated $100 million valuation from 2025. The collection includes highly sought-after models such as the 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, LaFerrari Aperta, and Daytona SP3. A significant driver of this valuation is the acquisition of a Ferrari 250 GTO.

To manage the extensive maintenance required for these vehicles, Lee employs a full-time Ferrari mechanic who operates an on-site workshop. This setup allows for roughly 85-90% of all necessary mechanical interventions to be completed directly at his residence, minimizing the need to transport high-value assets to external facilities. Lee organizes his collection by color, using nicknames such as ‘ketchup’ for red cars, ‘mustard’ for yellow, and ‘vegetables’ for green.

Ferrari's historical legacy is defined by iconic models dating back to the 1947 125 S, the brand's first vehicle. Other landmark models include the 250 GT California, which combined racing performance with grand touring elegance.
