Ferrari used its 2026 SF-26 to carry out a private filming day on July 9, 2026 at the newly built Madring circuit in Madrid. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton each drove the car, covering up to the FIA‑allowed 200 km with Pirelli demonstration tyres. The session was promotional, not a performance test, but gave the team valuable on‑track feel for the brand‑new layout.

The activity let circuit organisers validate logistics, traffic control (35 municipal police deployed) and infrastructure ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix scheduled for 11‑13 September 2026. The semi‑urban track around IFEMA and Valdebebas, featuring the high‑banked “La Monumental” curve, will replace Barcelona as the Spanish F1 venue.

Ferrari’s early run provides the Scuderia with data and driver familiarity before the race weekend, while also confirming that the circuit is operational for a full‑scale Grand Prix.
