Ferrari Enzo auction price cut by $6 million due to high mileage

A rare black Ferrari Enzo, one of only 399 produced between 2002 and 2004 and one of twelve delivered to the United States, is being offered at auction in Monterey, California. Experts had valued the car between $9 million and $11 million (approximately €7.7‑9.5 million), but the recorded odometer reading of 13,268 miles (about 21,352 km) has reduced the estimate by more than $6 million (around €5.1 million). By contrast, another Enzo with just 430 miles fetched €13.142 million at a previous sale.

The vehicle was bought by a collector in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2012 and moved to Florida in 2022. It has undergone over €70,000 of maintenance and received certification from Ferrari Classiche, confirming its preservation to original specifications. The significant price reduction underscores how mileage, even on a super‑rare collector car, can dramatically affect market value.
