Ferrari implements technical upgrades for F1 championship push

Ferrari is implementing a technical development plan to increase competitiveness in the Formula 1 World Championship. The team is focusing on two primary areas: aerodynamic updates for the Zandvoort Grand Prix and engine improvements for the Monza Grand Prix.

For Zandvoort, the team has developed an aerodynamic evolution for the SF-26, specifically targeting the car’s floor to improve performance. For Monza, Ferrari is preparing the ADUO 2 engine, an evolution of their current power unit designed to increase straight-line power and performance.

Technical discussions also highlight the challenges of the SF-26, noting that while some of Ferrari’s technical solutions are being studied by competitors, the team struggles with finding the optimal operating window. Consistency in car setup—including ride height, aerodynamic load, and tire management—remains a critical factor in translating the car’s potential into race results.
