Ferrari leads global automotive margins at 43%
An analysis of first-half financial results from 38 global automakers reveals Ferrari as the industry leader in profitability. Ferrari reported an operating margin of 43.0%, which is 16 percentage points higher than the second-place manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover, which recorded a margin of 26.8%.
Despite its dominant position, Ferrari saw a slight decrease in profitability compared to the first half of 2025, when its margin stood at 43.7%. This decline was attributed to lower sales of high-end supercars in Europe and China.
Other notable results include Toyota, which achieved a 12.7% margin despite increasing competition from Chinese manufacturers. Additionally, the data indicates an improvement for certain Chinese automakers, such as NIO, which has begun to show profitability despite intense price competition in the market.
