Ferrari Luce electric vehicle sees high demand and upcoming charity auction

Ferrari is launching its first production electric vehicle, the Luce, which is already seeing significant market interest. In Taiwan, the Luce has been officially unveiled with a starting price of approximately NT$26.08 million, with deliveries expected by late 2027. Despite some stylistic criticism, reports indicate that the 500-unit allocation for 2026 was sold out within two months of the announcement.

The Luce features a four-motor all-wheel-drive architecture producing over 1,000 horsepower, capable of a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.5 seconds. It is designed as a five-seater with a shooting brake-style body and a 122kWh battery providing a WLTP range of 530 km.

In a separate development, the first bespoke production example, known as ‘Chassis 0’, is scheduled to be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s in California on August 15. This one-off model, created through the Ferrari Tailor Made programme, features a unique Madreperla Semi-Gloss pearlescent finish and white ‘Le Mans metallic leather’ interior. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Ferrari Foundation. The vehicle will be built to US specifications, and the winning bidder can expect delivery in the first quarter of 2027.
