Ferrari positioned as favorite for the Hungarian Grand Prix

Ferrari’s SF‑26 is regarded as well‑suited to the Hungaroring, leading the team to be seen as a favourite for the upcoming race in Budapest. Team principal Frédéric Vasseur praised the car’s chassis and recent strong results at Silverstone and Spa‑Francorchamps, but cautioned that no win is guaranteed until the weekend’s sessions are run.

The circuit’s tight, technical layout reduces the importance of outright power and places greater emphasis on aerodynamic grip, tyre management and execution. Vasseur highlighted the need for disciplined work, consistent focus and the ability to keep rear‑tyre temperatures under control, especially as Pirelli will bring the three softest compounds (C3, C4, C5) for the event. Ferrari’s drivers remain motivated, and the team aims to maintain the positive momentum built over the past two races.
