Ferrari prepares SF-26 aerodynamic upgrades for Austin GP
Ferrari is preparing to introduce its fourth major aerodynamic upgrade package for the SF-26 at the upcoming Grand Prix in Austin. Team Principal Frédéric Vasseur indicated that this development will focus on the car's floor, sidepods, and bodywork to increase downforce and improve stability across various driving conditions.
The technical updates aim to optimize underfloor airflow and widen the car's operating window. Additionally, the sidepods will feature slightly narrower inlets to improve airflow management toward the rear of the vehicle. This represents the final significant update for the current model as development shifts toward the 679 project.
Amidst these technical developments, speculation regarding Ferrari's leadership continues. While Vasseur is under contract until at least 2027, recent strategic errors in races such as Baku, Sepang, and Singapore have fueled media discussions about potential management changes. Despite rumors linking various figures to the role, the team has reaffirmed its support for Vasseur.
