Formula 1 teams prepare major technical updates for Zandvoort

Aston Martin is set to debut a new Honda power unit specification, with paddock estimates suggesting a potential gain of 30 to 50 horsepower. This upgrade aims to close the performance gap and help the team secure consistent points. Mercedes is also bringing a “considerable” update package to improve stability and performance, though they may face strategic challenges due to inevitable power unit penalties.

Ferrari plans to introduce a new floor at Zandvoort to challenge Mercedes, with further developments including the “ADUO-2” engine expected at Monza. Meanwhile, Alpine is preparing aerodynamic improvements to help drivers Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto regain competitiveness after recent performance struggles.
