Ferrari Purosangue completes 51,000 km expedition across the Americas
A German traveler named MJ completed an extreme expedition across the Americas using a Ferrari Purosangue, a high-performance SUV valued at approximately 500,000 euros. The journey spanned over 51,000 kilometers, traveling from the southern tip of Argentina to Deadhorse, Alaska.
The trip involved traversing 17 countries and navigating challenging terrains, including Bolivia’s Death Road and altitudes reaching 4,950 meters. The vehicle's V12 engine faced difficulties due to low oxygen levels and local fuel quality at high elevations.
The expedition was marked by several setbacks. In June 2025, a serious accident between Cusco and Nazca, Peru, caused significant damage to the front axle, requiring the vehicle to be transported 3,300 kilometers to Santiago, Chile, for six months of repairs. Subsequent issues included electronic malfunctions in Bolivia and a collision with a motorcycle in El Salvador.
