Ferrari reaffirms full confidence in Fred Vasseur amid leadership rumors

Ferrari has issued an official statement to address growing speculation regarding the future of team principal Fred Vasseur. The Scuderia expressed “full confidence” in Vasseur and his leadership team, aiming to quell rumors fueled by recent performance struggles and comments from former Red Bull boss Christian Horner.

Drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have both publicly defended Vasseur. Hamilton described Vasseur as a “fantastic leader” and the right person to guide the project, while emphasizing that team stability is crucial. Hamilton also suggested that if responsibility for the team’s current challenges is to be assigned, critics should look beyond the team principal to the broader organizational structure and those higher up in the project.

While the team seeks to project unity ahead of upcoming races, the debate continues regarding the impact of leadership stability on the team’s ability to compete with rivals like Mercedes, Red Bull, and McLaren.
