Ferrari unveils F80 Aperta prototype with removable roof near Maranello

A prototype of Ferrari’s upcoming hypercar, the F80 Aperta, was photographed in the vicinity of the Maranello factory while concealed in heavy camouflage. The car features a manually removable roof panel, reminiscent of the LaFerrari Aperta, rather than an electro‑hydraulic system.

Production will be highly limited: the coupe version is already capped at 799 units, and the open‑top Aperta is expected to be even rarer. Launch is projected for 2027, with a price tag well above the $3.7 million base price of the coupe. The prototype retains the F80’s overall architecture, including a hybrid‑assisted V6 power unit, and confirms Ferrari’s plan to introduce up to twenty new models by the end of the decade.

Brand‑registered trademarks in Italy suggest the name could be F80 Targa, Roadster, or Spider, but the exact designation remains undecided.
