Ferrari unveils spy shots of upcoming 296 Challenge Stradale

New spy shots from Germany reveal a road-going version of the Ferrari 296 Challenge, known as the 296 Challenge Stradale. The prototype features red camouflage and neon-yellow Flow-Viz paint, a technique used in Formula 1 for aerodynamic testing.

Key design elements visible on the test vehicle include larger front air intakes, stacked side flaps located behind the bumper, and fully exposed side skirts similar to the racing variant. The presence of parking sensors suggests the model is being developed for road use.

This development follows the success of the 296 range, which includes the 880-horsepower 296 Speciale. The 296 series marks Ferrari’s transition to a mid-engined 120° V6 configuration.
