Ferreh Lulu Properties ordered to pay D830,000 in land dispute
The Kanifing Magistrates’ Court has ordered Ferreh Lulu Properties to pay D830,000 to Marabi Salam Camara following a failed land transaction. The ruling, delivered by Magistrate B. Sowe, follows a civil claim in which Camara alleged the company failed to provide ownership documents after receiving full payment.
The dispute originated from a 2026 agreement where Camara purchased land for D800,000, paid in four monthly installments. Evidence presented to the court included a sales agreement and receipts for the full amount. Despite the completed payments, the company reportedly failed to transfer the land or provide necessary documentation, such as a lease agreement and sketch plan.
During the proceedings, it was revealed that the defendant attempted to issue a D750,000 refund cheque that could not be cashed because the company withheld authorization. The court noted that Ferreh Lulu Properties failed to appear at the hearings despite being served with notices. Consequently, the magistrate ruled in favor of the plaintiff, awarding the D800,000 plus costs.
