Ferrer Ferran premieres new trumpet work with Pulianas Municipal Band

Composer and conductor Ferrer Ferran served as guest director for the Municipal Wind Band of Pulianas in Granada, Spain, on 13 June 2026. The concert featured the world premiere of his newly commissioned composition Luz de Bronce, a divertimento for solo trumpet and wind band. Trumpeter Óliver Hita Peña performed the solo part, showcasing the piece’s blend of bright brass timbres and emotive folk‑inspired melodies.

The audience responded with extended applause, highlighting the successful merging of tradition and contemporary musical language in the work, which joins the repertoire for trumpet and wind ensembles.
