Ferreries celebrates 25 years of Menorca artisanal fair

The municipality of Ferreries is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Fira d’Artesania, an event that has become a key cultural and economic fixture in Menorca since its inception in 2001. The fair aims to showcase a diverse range of island craftsmanship, including ceramics, macramé, painting, and traditional footwear known as abarcas.

The upcoming edition, scheduled for October 2 to 4, is expected to reach a record level of participation with 56 exhibitors. The event has received ongoing institutional support from the Consell Insular de Menorca and the Govern Balear.

Ferreries has a long history of supporting local artisans, having pioneered a weekly artisanal market over thirty years ago. This foundation has helped maintain a significant artisanal presence in the municipality, which currently hosts approximately seven physical workshops led by certified master artisans.
