Ferrero and Save the Children host inclusive water‑sports camp in Grosseto, Italy

On 16 June, a group of 43 children and adolescents from Save the Children’s “Punti Luce” centres in Genoa and Potenza took part in a water‑sports camp at the Waterworld facility run by Olympic sailor Alessandra Sensini in Marina di Grosseto, Tuscany.

The event was organised through a partnership between Ferrero, Save the Children, Kinder Joy of Moving and Sensini, whose aim was to use sport as a tool for inclusion and to combat educational poverty. Participants received sailing and other maritime activities, alongside certificates of participation, and the programme concluded with remarks from local authorities.

Ferrero Commercial Italy CEO Fabrizio Gavelli highlighted the importance of sport in expanding horizons and building confidence, while Silvia Di La emphasized the project’s role in offering concrete growth opportunities for disadvantaged youth.
