Ferret Care Guides Emphasize Pair Keeping and Playful Temperament

Ferrets are highly social mammals that thrive when housed with a companion. Keeping two ferrets together reduces boredom, promotes exercise, and supports mental well‑being, while also preventing many behavioral problems that can arise in solitary animals.

Although ferrets are generally playful and curious, they are not inherently aggressive. Their natural instincts include "play biting" and vocalizations such as "dooking" when happy or hissing when fearful. Proper socialization and consistent training help ensure a harmonious environment for both the animals and their owners.
