Ferretti Group to expand Ancona shipyard for 100-metre superyachts

Ferretti Group has secured authorization to expand its Ancona Superyacht Yard, increasing its maximum vessel construction capability from 90 to 100 metres. The approval marks the first single authorization issued in the Port of Ancona under the Special Economic Zone (ZES) framework since the measures were extended to the Marche region.

The expansion involves extending one of the shipyard’s existing production facilities, with construction work expected to take approximately six months. The project is estimated to have an initial economic impact of approximately €30 million on the local area.

Global CEO Stassi Anastassov stated that the 54-day authorization process reflects the company’s commitment to ambition and speed. The expansion is intended to strengthen the group’s position in the high-end international superyacht market and enhance its ability to compete for larger, more complex projects.
