Ferromex freight train derails in Coahuila logistics corridor

More than 80 freight wagons belonging to Ferromex derailed and overturned near Estación Marte in the municipality of General Cepeda, Coahuila. The accident occurred around 3:00 PM on September 13.

Preliminary reports suggest that strong wind gusts and intense whirlwinds in the area may have caused the derailment. Local residents described severe weather conditions at the time of the incident.
