ViAlliance35 consortium selected for €2.9 billion Czech D35 motorway project

The ViAlliance35 consortium has been selected as the preferred bidder for a major public-private partnership (PPP) project on the D35 motorway in the Czech Republic. The project, valued at approximately €2.9 billion, involves the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of a 52-kilometer section of the corridor.

The scope includes the construction of 35.4 kilometers of new dual carriageway, featuring two significant tunnels—the 4km Dětřichov Tunnel and the 1.3km Maletín Tunnel—as well as the operation and maintenance of 17 kilometers of existing motorway. The D35 is a critical infrastructure project intended to link Bohemia and Moravia while relieving traffic on the existing I/35 road.

The ViAlliance35 consortium is composed of Ferrovial subsidiaries Cintra and Budimex, STRABAG, and the financial investor Invesis. Construction is expected to begin by the end of 2026, with a concession term of 28 years following financial close.
