Ferrovial delists from Amsterdam Stock Exchange
Ferrovial has officially ceased trading on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, effective this Friday. The company informed the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) that the move is intended to simplify its listing structure and improve the efficiency of its market profile.
Despite the delisting in Amsterdam, Ferrovial maintains its status as a Dutch company and remains subject to Dutch regulatory and corporate governance frameworks. The company will continue to be listed on the Nasdaq in the United States, as well as on Spanish stock exchanges in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, and Valencia.
The decision follows a period where trading volume in the United States surpassed that in Spain. Ferrovial noted that Euronext Amsterdam accounted for only approximately 0.15% of the company's average daily trading volume, making its continued presence in the Dutch market unjustifiable under its long-term strategy.
