Ferry Health secures $9M to automate healthcare scheduling with AI

Ferry Health has emerged from stealth mode after securing $9 million in seed funding to automate healthcare logistics. The funding round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Index Ventures, with additional participation from Avid Ventures, Layout Ventures, SV Angel, BoxGroup, and Asymmetric Capital Partners.

The company utilizes autonomous AI agents to manage patient appointment scheduling and administrative tasks. These agents are designed to call clinics directly to verify active insurance coverage, confirm provider subspecialties, and identify available appointment slots, aiming to reduce the friction caused by outdated health plan directories and manual coordination.

Founded in early 2024 by CEO Mehul Mehta, Keyur Mehta, and Andrew Buie, the platform is currently active across all 50 U.S. states. It is accessible to over 1 million covered patients, with goals to expand coverage to more than 5 million patients by the end of 2026 through enterprise partnerships with health systems and commercial health plans.
