Ferry services to Vietnamese islands suspended due to bad weather

The Kien Giang Maritime Administration has suspended all ferry and boat services between the mainland and various islands due to severe weather conditions on August 25. The suspension aims to ensure the safety of passengers and vessels amid rough seas.

Specific routes affected include services from Rach Gia to Phu Quoc, Nam Du, and Lai Son, as well as routes from Ha Tien to Phu Quoc and Tien Hai. Weather reports indicate southwest winds at levels 4 to 5, with gusts reaching levels 7 to 8 during thunderstorms, and wave heights between 1 and 2 meters.

Shipping companies have announced that passengers can receive a 100% refund for their tickets or choose to reserve their tickets for use once services resume.
