Fervence releases new single ‘Ascension’ ahead of upcoming album

Texas-based progressive metalcore band Fervence has released a new single and video titled ‘Ascension’. The track is featured on their upcoming full-length album, Constructs, which is scheduled for release on October 16 through Metal Blade Records.

Founding guitarist Trent Odneal described the new track as an intentional addition of chaos to the album, comparing its structure to a ‘fever-dream’ that moves between reflection and aggression. The upcoming album is described as a refinement of the band's ability to communicate complex thoughts regarding existence and personal experiences.

Guitarist Austin Bentley noted that the title track serves as a concluding thought to themes explored during their previous work, Ghost. The band, which transitioned from a solo project in Reno, Nevada, to a quintet now based in Austin, Texas, will feature vocalist Stevie B. on the eleven-song release.
