Fes Sufi Culture Festival held in Morocco's historic Medina

The 18th edition of the Fes Sufi Culture Festival is taking place in the Fes el Bali district of Morocco, running through October 24, 2026. Centered around the theme of mystical poetry as an 'elixir of healing,' the event utilizes various historical sites across the Medina, including the Gardens of Jnan Sbil, Souq Semmarine, Bab El Makina, and the Les Étoiles de la Médina center.

The festival program features a diverse array of cultural activities, including concerts, workshops, exhibitions, and film screenings. Notable scheduled events include a Japanese tea ceremony workshop, a performance by Indian singer Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar, and a concert titled 'Bach and Rumi.' The festival concludes on October 24 with 'Ivresses,' an event combining Arabic-Andalusian Samaa singing with the Dervishes of Aleppo, alongside a discussion regarding the relationship between poetry and healing.
