FESFUT dismisses men's U-20 national team coaching staff

The Salvadoran Football Federation (FESFUT) has announced the dismissal of the men's U-20 national team coaching staff. The technical team, consisting of Erick Dowson Prado, Mario Villatoro, and Adolfo Menéndez, will not continue following the team's participation in the recent CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers.

FESFUT stated that the decision followed an evaluation of the process. While the federation emphasized prioritizing long-term development over specific sporting results, it noted that internal situations during the qualifiers caused a breakdown in group cohesion. The federation clarified that such divisions are incompatible with its organizational philosophy and principles.

In its official statement, FESFUT emphasized its commitment to protecting group unity and fostering an environment of respect and discipline. The organization rejected any circumstances that create divisions among players based on their origin, place of training, residence, or the league in which they compete.
