Festa dell’Unità political gatherings held in Italy

Various editions of the Festa dell’Unità, a political and social gathering organized by the Democratic Party (PD), are taking place across Italy.

In Castel San Pietro, the 11-day event is concluding with a session featuring Stefano Bonaccini and Mayor Francesca Marchetti. The discussion is expected to focus on upcoming political challenges, the role of local territories, and the necessity of building political alternatives. Organizers highlighted the high level of citizen participation and the essential role of volunteers in maintaining the event.

In Monticelli d’Ongina, the festival marks its 80th anniversary. As the only active Festa dell’Unità in the province of Piacenza since 1946, the event features a collaboration with ANPI (National Association of Italian Partisans) through the ‘Resistenza in festa’ initiative. The program includes political debates, such as an interview with Gianni Cuperlo, alongside traditional local cuisine and music.
