Festa do Monte celebrates Novena of Good Will

The Festa do Monte continues with the 8th Novena, themed ‘Good Will,’ dedicated to the communities of Levada da Corujeira, Casa Branca, Tanque, Marmeleiros, and Pinheiro. The spiritual preparation for the feast of Nossa Senhora do Monte includes a pilgrimage at noon accompanied by the Funchal Municipal Band ‘Os Artistas,’ followed by a mass at 8:00 PM and musical performances by Buzico and Conjunto Musical Galáxia.

Additionally, Funchal is observing International Youth Day with various activities, including aquatic sports, an E-Sports tent, and musical performances by artists such as Isabel Gonçalves and Tuma. Local political initiatives and meetings regarding road prevention are also scheduled for the day.
