Festaclown begins in Vilagarcía with circus arts and Marky Ramone

The twelfth edition of Festaclown, organized by the Fundación Tchyminigagua, has commenced in Vilagarcía as part of the San Roque festivities. The festival opened with ‘Acrocircus’, an itinerant performance by a Colombian circus company that traveled through the city streets to the Praza de Galicia.

The event features a diverse program of street arts, including acrobatics, music, clowning, and theater. Scheduled performances include musical parades by Iguatuke, science fiction and transformism shows by Aitor Garuz, and ‘Finito infinito’ by the Trotamundos company. The festivities will continue through August 22.

A major highlight of the musical program at the A Xunqueira stage includes a double session featuring the local punk rock group The Eskarallas and Marky Ramone, the former drummer for the legendary punk band Ramones.
