FestCine Pedra Azul International Film Festival begins in Brazil

The 8th edition of the FestCine Pedra Azul International Film Festival is taking place in Espírito Santo, Brazil. The event features a diverse lineup of works from filmmakers in Brazil, the United States, and Mexico.

One highlight is the Brazilian feature film ‘Entramas’, directed and written by Justino Vettore. Produced by Pablo Pereira, the film was shot in the Taquaruçu district of Tocantins and has previously screened at international festivals in the United States and Bangladesh. The film follows a family of theater performers, exploring intergenerational conflicts and emotional relationships.

Additionally, the municipality of Venda Nova do Imigrante is participating in the festival program for the first time. The local schedule includes a free screening of the Brazilian series ‘Só Eu e Ela’, directed by Marcoz Gomez. Set in Espírito Santo, the series follows a man who moves to the coast of Marataízes to start a new life after discovering a secret involving his wife.
