Festina and Epos showcase mechanical watch artistry

The watchmaking industry continues to emphasize the aesthetic integration of mechanical movements through skeleton and open heart designs.

Festina has introduced new Swiss Made Vallee Automatic Skeleton models. These mechanical watches feature integrated bracelets and a design style reminiscent of 1970s sports watches, moving away from larger, multi-functional styles toward a more subdued, retro-inspired aesthetic.

In contrast to the skeleton design, which exposes the entire architecture of the mechanism, the open heart design utilizes a small cutout in the dial to reveal the balance wheel. The brand Epos, which has roots dating back to 1925, utilizes both styles to highlight the artistry of watchmaking, offering subtle mechanical views through open heart models and more comprehensive mechanical exposure through skeleton constructions.
