Festival Acadiens et Creoles to take place in Lafayette

Festival Acadiens et Creoles is scheduled to take place in Girard Park from October 8 through October 11. The event features a variety of local musical performers, food options, and an arts-and-crafts section.

Activities begin on Thursday, October 8, with a multimedia presentation titled ‘Dry Bones’ at the Acadiana Center for the Arts, presented by the UL Center for Louisiana Studies. Musical performances at Girard Park commence on Friday, October 9, featuring Jourdan Thibodeaux et Les Rodailleurs and Ruben Moreno's Zydeco Re-Evolution. Saturday's lineup includes numerous local artists such as T’Monde, Cedric Watson et Bijou Créole, and Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys.
