Festival Audiovisual de la Puna returns to Catamarca

The third edition of the Festival Audiovisual de la Puna (FAP) is scheduled for August 11 and 12 in the Puna region of Catamarca. Held at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, the event offers free admission and aims to provide a platform for independent filmmakers and local talent.

The festival has seen international growth, receiving over 200 audiovisual works from countries including Spain, Bolivia, Peru, Cuba, and Mexico, alongside various Argentine provinces. Competitions include categories for short films, music videos, one-minute videos, and feature films. This year, new awards will be introduced to recognize direction, screenwriting, acting, and sound.

Organizers intend to use the festival to highlight the landscapes and stories of the Puna. Additionally, the event includes a community outreach component, inviting attendees to donate non-perishable food for local soup kitchens.
