1000 Miglia prepares for centenary edition in 2027

The 1000 Miglia is preparing for its centenary edition in 2027, marking 100 years since its inaugural race in 1927. The event will take place from May 24 to May 29, 2027, featuring a six-day race that returns to an anti-clockwise loop format. Starting and ending in Brescia, the route will traverse major Italian cities including Parma, Florence, Rome, and Verona, passing through regions such as Tuscany, Umbria, and Veneto.

To celebrate this milestone, organizers are seeking historical memorabilia, photographs, and personal accounts from citizens in cities like Siena to build a collective narrative of the race. The 2027 itinerary includes specific stops in Rovigo, Padova, and Montevarchi.

In addition to the main event, other automotive heritage celebrations are scheduled, such as the Millennium Expo in Rome in October 2026, which will feature historical vehicles and celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vespa and the 120th anniversary of Lancia. Meanwhile, the 1000 Miglia Experience Greece 2026 is set to begin on September 30, starting at the Acropolis and traveling through Tripoli and Olympia.

Other regional motorsport events include the Giro dei Monti Savonesi Storico in Albenga, scheduled for November 2026, which will serve as the final stage of the Trofeo Rally di Zona.
