Festival Cervantino features Lola Lince and Bangarra Dance Theatre

The 54th edition of the Festival Internacional Cervantino in Guanajuato features diverse dance performances, including contributions from Mexico and Australia.

The Compañía de Danza Experimental Lola Lince will present ‘Operativo Kafka’. Directed by Lola Lince, the piece uses contemporary dance, symbolism, and Butoh to explore themes of memory, identity, and the human condition through a journey of twelve dancers.

Representing Australia, the Bangarra Dance Theatre will perform at the Auditorio del Estado. The company focuses on preserving the heritage of Australia’s First Nations by fusing ancestral traditions with contemporary aesthetics. Their work aims to share living histories and honor indigenous legacies through the performing arts.
