Festival dell’Archeologia di Bacoli returns for fourth edition

The fourth edition of the Festival dell’Archeologia di Bacoli (FAB!) is scheduled to take place from October 27 to 30, 2026, at the Parco Borbonico del Fusaro. Organized by TILE Storytellers and directed by Nicola Barile, the festival uses cinema to explore the past and discuss the future of regional territories.

The program features a competition of documentary films alongside school activities and meetings focused on the valorization of cultural heritage. The selection includes both Italian and international productions, with works originating from Turkey, Greece, Spain, Serbia, Armenia, and Poland.

Director Nicola Barile noted that the festival aims to connect cinematic storytelling with the local communities of the Campi Flegrei. The lineup includes specific regional works such as ‘A Caldera Movi(ie)’ and ‘Il viaggio di Apione’, highlighting the relationship between research, memory, and the landscape.
