Festival Drugarice female authorship short film awards feminist cinema Orla film

The second edition of the Festival Drugarice has concluded at the Crnogorska kinoteka, celebrating female authorship and contemporary cinematic expression. The festival featured film screenings, workshops, and discussions regarding the position of women in the film industry.

In the short fiction category, the film ‘Orla’ by Czech director Marie Lukáčová received the top award. The jury praised the work for its formal freedom and its use of animation, music video aesthetics, and unconventional fairy tale motifs to challenge patriarchal systems.

The award for best student film went to ‘U tranzitu’ by Croatian director Lucija Brkić. Special recognitions were also awarded to Sonja Tarokić for ‘Vjetar u leđa’ and Martina Marasović for ‘Čeljade’.
