Festival Interlagos attracts 215,000 visitors and 36 vehicle launches
The Festival Interlagos, described as the world's largest event dedicated to racetrack experimentation, attracted 215,000 visitors over three days. The event featured 32 participating brands, including 14 Chinese manufacturers, and hosted 36 vehicle launches and presentations.
Key automotive highlights included the BMW iX3 electric SUV, scheduled for release on October 24, and the Ford F150 Raptor pickup, confirmed for the first quarter of 2027. Chinese brands showed significant presence: Dongfeng (operating as DFM in Brazil) plans to launch 10 models by 2028; GAC showcased the GS9 plug-in hybrid SUV; and IM Motors presented the IM6 electric SUV coupe.
The festival also emphasized the growth of electric and hybrid sectors. Geely highlighted the EX5 EM-i, which is set to begin production at the Renault factory in Paraná this month. Other notable mentions included the Baic Arcfox T1, available for pre-sale, and the Jaecco 8 hybrid SUV.
