Festival Internacional Cervantino expands reach to 32 Mexican cities

The 54th edition of the Festival Internacional Cervantino will expand its cultural reach through the ‘Circuito Cervantino’ initiative. From September 26 to October 28, the program will extend to 32 cities across 16 Mexican states, including Baja California, Mexico City, Jalisco, and Zacatecas, among others.

Thirty-nine national and international performing arts groups will participate, offering music, theater, and dance. Featured artists include Mondo Cane with Mike Patton, (LA)HORDE, and Tamara Cubas. Performances will take place at various cultural venues such as the Centro Cultural Tijuana, Centro Cultural Helénico, and the Palacio de Bellas Artes.

In Jalisco, scheduled activities include Tamara Cubas’s ‘Sea of Silence’ at Teatro Degollado on October 3, and (LA)HORDE/Ballet National de Marseille at Conjunto Santander on October 9 and 10. The initiative aims to democratize access to the arts by bringing high-level cultural expressions to diverse territories throughout the country.
