Festival International de Hammamet and Montreal's Nuits d'Afrique unveil 2026 programs

The Festival International de Hammamet announced its 60th edition, running from 11 July to 13 August 2026 under the slogan “Endless Memories.” The program features 32 performances by artists from twelve countries, including Tunisia, Lebanon, Palestine, the United States, Mali, Spain, Portugal, Cuba, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria and Italy. Highlights include the opening Tunisian play Les fugueuses, concerts by Dhafer Youssef, Yasmine Hamdan, Gnawa Diffusion, Big Daddy Wilson, Salif Keïta and many others.

Meanwhile, Montreal’s Festival International Nuits d’Afrique released a new compilation album titled FINA 2026 to mark its 40th anniversary. The digital collection gathers 19 tracks from internationally‑known performers such as Oumou Sangaré, Tabou Combo and Systema Solar, alongside local Quebec artists like Wesli and Joyce N’Sana. A physical edition adds the official 40‑year anthem “Unis par les Nuits” and a surprise track by Tiken Jah Fakoly. The album is available on major streaming platforms and in physical format.

Both festivals use the releases to promote world‑music diversity and to extend their cultural reach beyond live events.
