Festival Merkádo returns to Jiřího z Poděbrad Square

Festival Merkádo is returning to Jiřího z Poděbrad Square on September 18–19, bringing Latin American culture to the area. The event will feature approximately forty vendors offering products such as cocoa, exotic fruits, textiles, and jewelry from artisans across Central and South America.

Attendees can sample traditional foods from countries including Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico. The cultural program includes performances by the Mexican Mariachi Azteca de Praga, salsa and bachata workshops led by Zulay Fonseca, and music by DJ Coste.

A charitable collection will be held during the festival to support Venezuela and Colombia following recent devastating earthquakes and ongoing humanitarian crises.
