Taquaritinga do Norte’s 7th Festival Café Cultural Sets Attendance Record

The 7th edition of the Festival Café Cultural concluded on Sunday, August 2, in Taquaritinga do Norte, Pernambuco, marking the largest edition in the event’s history. Over four days the festival attracted visitors from across the state and other Brazilian regions, featuring technical workshops, barista competitions, cultural performances and concerts, including a headline show by the band Roupa Nova that drew the highest crowd ever recorded for a local event.

Organizers reported a surge in hotel, restaurant and retail activity, with neighboring municipalities also experiencing higher occupancy. Mayor Gena Lins highlighted the festival as a catalyst for regional development, noting record‑breaking attendance, sales and new cultural opportunities for the community.

The program, part of the broader Festival Pernambuco Meu País, also included the inauguration of new Points of Culture recognized by the Ministry of Culture and tributes to local cultural masters.
