Festival Puccini reports record growth in attendance and revenue

The 72nd edition of the Festival Puccini in Torre del Lago has concluded with significant financial and attendance growth. According to the Fondazione Festival Pucciniano, total revenues reached approximately 2.48 million euros, representing a 23.4% increase compared to 2025. Attendance also rose, with 47,320 spectators recorded, an increase of 2,741 people over the previous year.

Detailed figures show that the 16 opera performances alone generated over 2.08 million euros, a 16.3% increase from the prior year. The average revenue per evening also saw an upward trend, rising from approximately 112,000 euros in 2025 to over 130,000 euros in 2026.

Looking ahead, the Foundation has announced the 2027 season, which will feature six titles and 19 opera performances during July and August. The season will open with Puccini’s ‘La rondine’ on July 9 and 17, marking the 110th anniversary of its absolute premiere. The opening will feature international performers Aleksandra Kurzak and Roberto Alagna.
